This painting is part of the 'Winter Form and Juncture' collection published in January 2016.

These pieces have been 6 years in the making. Using photos I took in January 2009 on my first morning in Rotterdam when I ventured out to look at my new surroundings. Lake Kralingse Plas had frozen over completely for the first time in 18 years. I watched as the sun came up over and hit the frozen forms with the complete spectrum of colours. Originally, I set out to work within the Caravaggio colour set, however, this has metamorphosed as the paintings have developed.

Your order is printed up on to a 22mm thick lightweight but durable wood frame with stretched 100% premium cotton canvas for a smooth vibrant finish. The printing process allows the image to wrap around the edges of the frame giving it a 3D aspect when hung.

Over several days, multiple layers of acrylics are applied by hand to enhance the brush strokes of the painting, developing its depth and texture. Your painting is then carefully but robustly packaged and dispatched via registered delivery.
